Dated 06/24/97

Items closed 06/12/97 will be moved to closed list after July meeting.

------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE #:006a

DATE OPENED: 08/26/96

DESCRIPTION: Want to include the NPAC test plan as an appendix to this

test plan.

RESPONSIBILITY: Barry Bishop, Operations Team will contact Donna

Navickas, NPAC team

DATE DUE: 01/06/97

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

08/26/96 - New Item

08/30/96 - Walt Subora and Barry Bishop will be meeting with the NPAC

team on Sep. 10 and/or 11 to talk about testing, schedules, etc. Will

bring back to this team.

12/11/96 - Discussion of how NPAC would be incorporated.

Most NPAC test plans are currently proprietary. Since they can't be

incorporated in the public test plan, a characterization of the coverage

is necessary in the master test plan, to show that it has been covered.

Sect 4.2.4 of test plan will have a matrix or summary which

characterizes the coverage. Then, at the conclusion of testing,

Lockheed would have to provide documentation of the test results.

01/09/97 - Lockheed will provide the final Turnup Test plan for the

addendum after it is final.

02/13/97 - NPAC committee is formally constructing this test plan and we

will get an update at the next meeting.

04/08/97 - Plan is just about complete. Submit section under final

review. Will get a status after next NPAC meeting. Perhaps a draft

tomorrow.

06/12/97 - Walt will be going to next week s NPAC meeting. He hopes to

get a response then.

------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE #:012

DATE OPENED: 10/18/96

DESCRIPTION: Need test scripts for Section 4.14 Choke Networks.

RESPONSIBILITY: Barry Bishop, AIT

DATE DUE: 11/04/96

DATE CLOSED: 06/12/97

STATUS: CLOSED

10/18/96 - New Item

01/09/97 - Still on hold. These numbers are not portable. Providers will

have to hook up to tandem the same as we do to limit calls. Operations

open issue #41.

02/13/97 - Will keep in test plan but will not expand in the Illinois

forum for the MSA1 test. May need to expand when enter other MSA s.

03/11 - someone else in AIT??

04/08/97 - Still an open issue. Barry hopes to resolve in the next

couple of weeks.

05/15/97 - synonymous with mass calling - as soon as we get items from

the Operations team Walt will try to find someone at Ameritech to write

scripts.

06/12/97 - Although it is useful to have test scripts for this, it

appears inappropriate to test during the trial. At least in MSA 1, the

choke network solution as discussed won t be implemented (in an LRN

environment). To discuss with Barry Bishop (Operations Committee) agreed

that this issue is not LRN/LNP and should be closed. Barry agreed to

write wording regarding the resolution for archive purposes.

ISSUE #:018

DATE OPENED: 11/21/96

DESCRIPTION: Need an ANI failure test case for E911. 911 router will

look up default ESN per incoming trunk group.

RESPONSIBILITY: Nancy DeRoo, AIT

DATE DUE: 01/15/97

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

11/21/96 - New Item

01/09/97 - Nancy DeRoo is still working the issue. Due date changed to

01/15/97.

02/13/97 - Nancy gave to Walt Subora for inclusion in test plan. Walt

will send to Bill. Also, Rick, I-NENA, stated that this needs to be

tested as each new switch is turned up.

03/11/97 - Walt working to get in proper format.

04/08/97 - Nancy will redo after yesterday s meeting and Walt will

update. Get to Dick Dowd on Thursday, 4/10.

05/15/97 - items soon to be available for the test plan (probably by the

end of the month). Proposed web scripts will be on Barry s web page.

06/06/97 - These have been transmitted to Bill Belshaw and also are on

ported.com under the 911 team area.

06/12/97 - The test cases have been written, provided to Bill Belshaw,

on ported.com under the 911 section. The scripts will be in the 1.4

version of the test plan. The 1.4 version is on Ported.com now

(06-24-97).

------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE #:024

DATE OPENED: 12/06/96

DESCRIPTION: Test team needs to determine failure scenario testing. IITP

tests will use a lab environment to run a broad range of failure

scenarios. How would this complement our efforts.

RESPONSIBILITY: : Team

DATE DUE: 02/11/97

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

12/06/96 - Walt will put on agenda for Dec. 11 meeting.

01/09/97 - Looping tests will be added to this section. Need to

investigate other scripts. Will see what NIIF (old IITP) can do that

will give confidence in June/July time frame.

03/11/97 - Joint meeting with SCP team on 04/08. Will try to cover

during this meeting.

04/08/97 - SCP team will submit to us some test scripts and Walt will

submit to NIIF/NT testing committee for inclusion.

05/15/97 - no change in status, although Walt gave an update on what the

NTC is looking at. He also highlighted some comparatively simple tests

in his lab and saw extensive looping. The currently implemented standard

is based on the XUDT message counts, which are not supported by anyone,

all use UDT messaging.

06/12/97 - Failure scenario testing - to be discussed during FCC

Guidance discussion.

12/06/95 - New item. Needs to have EDI interface firmed up

electronically. Also need tests for LEC to LEC interfaces when not EDI.

01/09/97 - To be provided by Operations team. Bill, MCI, will put

generic scripts in for the issue 1. Will be updated in next issue.

02/13/97 - Still open in Operations committee. These are pre-requisite

tests.

04/08/97 - Still open. Firmed up without Electronic interface on 4/10.

Operations team will work.

05/15/97 - Bill Belshaw is working on this. Update should come before

end of May.

06/12/97 - Bill Belshaw working on these. It is assumed these will be in

version 1.4.

ISSUE #:026

DATE OPENED: 12/06/96

DESCRIPTION: Test scripts are needed for porting process flows.

RESPONSIBILITY: All

DATE DUE: ??

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

12/06/96 - Depends on getting better descriptions of the

process flows that will be used. Will definitely test whatever the

final flows are. Operations team has these flows in Flux right now.

12/11/96 - Bill Belshaw, MCI, added cases for operations. They are

generic. Will update when flows are firm.

01/09/97 - To be provided by Operations team. Will be updated in next

issue.

03/11/97 - changed to be "Porting process flows".

04/08/97 - Bill Belshaw, MCI, is working on these for section 4.4. Flows

will be finalized this week during the operations team meetings.

05/15/97 - Bill Belshaw is working on this. Text has been finalized and

approved. Update should come before end of May.

06/12/97 - Bill Belshaw working on these. It is assumed these will be in

version 1.4.

------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE #:028

DATE OPENED: 12/11/96

DESCRIPTION: Need test cases for post dial delay tests.

RESPONSIBILITY: All

DATE DUE: 02/11/97

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

12/11/96 - Important to do something for post-dial delay, but this is a

very complex subject. It may be cause unnecessary confusion if the job

isn't done right. Will be discussed for issue 2.

01/09/97 - no update.

02/13/97 - Need to come up with a methodology for testing this for the

end user as well as for each of the test types, such as Operator

Services and TR1188 CNAM piece parts (measurements on each of the

queries, etc.). Ensure the call meets handoff criteria, etc.

03/11/97 - Metrics to be handled by SPoC subteam.

04/08/97 - Still open issue.

05/15/97 - post dial delay tests. Being worked by SPoC team. The

conclusion of the Operations team was to measure it and state the

results as fact, but make a judgment as to whether it is good or bad.

The responsibility is that each participating company report their post

dial delay under various scenarios. There is nothing that requires it to

be measured on EACH call. Dick pointed out that each participant is

being required to measure it and state the measurement method. Mitch

Fuchs, AT&T, agreed to write a definition on PDD and give to Bill

Belshaw

06/12/97 - Bill Belshaw working on these. It is assumed these will be in

version 1.4. These flows (to be useful) should be submitted before the

July meeting. Walt to contact Bill to determine if they will be

available before July meeting. Jim Joerger spoke with Bill Belshaw and

reported that porting flows should be available for the SPOC meeting

next week.

------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE #:030

DATE OPENED: 12/11/96

DESCRIPTION: The SCP Subcommittee submitted a request for this group to

cover SCCP looping as part of the test plan.

RESPONSIBILITY: All

DATE DUE: 02/11/97

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

12/11/96 - Discussion on how to do this and for what scenarios. See

notes from Dec. 11 meeting. Need to get input from SCP team on schemes

to prevent/detect looping and how to implement for test purposes. Walt

will send out when available.

01/09/97 - Walt will try to include in January for issue 2 updates.

02/13/97 - Walt to take back to SCP committee for confirmation of what

they want included in test plan and when it will be available.

03/11/97 - Will try to cover in the joint SCP/Test team meeting on April

08, 1997.

04/08/97 - SCP team will submit a looping test and methodology to do it.

We will then consider it for the plan.

05/15/97 - SCP committee is submitting this next week. We will review at

next meeting.

06/12/97 - Walt will take this item and build script(s) based on what he

does internally. This will be discussed again in FCC guidance

discussion.

------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE #:032

DATE OPENED: 12/11/96

DESCRIPTION: Need to get a list of the NXXs and DNs for each company

that will be used for the inter-company test.

RESPONSIBILITY: All

DATE DUE: 01/07/97

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

12/11/96 - Need to get a list of the NXXs and DNs for each company. Send

them to Walt prior to January meeting. Minimum number of DNs per company

has not been decided. Crucially important to define clearly which NXXs

and DNs will be used, and to assure that only agreed-upon NXXs and DNs

are in the setup.

01/09/97 - NPA-NXXs were given by AT&T, AIT, MFS, and MCI at meeting

today. Need the info from TCG and Sprint. Also, need the LRNs and DPCs

for switches, actual DNs to be used, etc. Needed for the Feb. meeting.

02/13/97 - Walt will send out the Rate District list and it will be used

for input on the 02/27 conf. Call.

02/24/97 - Walt still does not have rate district list or proposed

offices.

03/11/97 - NXXs were submitted today and DNs will be on 3/21.

04/08/97 - Ameritech will send tomorrow. Others are in the last SPoC

meeting minutes. Will work at next SPoC meeting.

05/15/97 - Much of the data has been collected, the rest will be here

today and the issue should be closed tomorrow (assuming all info

arrives).

06/06/97 - NXXs and TNs were put forth. The actual porting partner s and

numbers to be ported will come out of the June 19 & 20th SPoC meetings.

06/12/97 - Dick has a great deal of information from several

participants. The NPAC is looking for this info. Dick pointed out that

the info would go to the NPAC regardless and this action item is just a

back up. We (Walt and Dick) will raise this issue at next week s NPAC

meeting.

06/24/97 - Update: NPAC committee was given the information, but Dick

emphasized that it should come through the normal channels for the start

of inter-company test.

------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE #:034

DATE OPENED: 01/08/97

DESCRIPTION: Put picture reference in for each test case. And if no

picture available, draw new one. Submit to Mr. Bill by close of business

on Jan. 15, 1997. Policy is to submit reference or draw new picture when

submit test cases.

RESPONSIBILITY: ALL

DATE DUE: 01/15/97

DATE CLOSED:

STATUS: Open

01/09/97 - New item.

02/13/97 - Still waiting for some of the drawings (Mack Dobkins - ISDN,

Andy Chalk - non-conforming end office, Nancy DeRoo - 911).

03/11/97 - Walt has been able to convert Nancy DeRoo s 911 drawings and

will send them to Bill.

04/08/97 - Nancy s drawings have been given to Bill, along with the test

scripts. They are also on ported.com under the 911 area.

05/15/97 - Walt suggested closing this issue and leave it to those

running ISDN tests to draw out for their own purposes. Will leave open

until the June meeting.

06/12/97 - The only area of concern is with ISDN. Because only Ameritech

(and perhaps Sprint) wants to test ISDN, it may not be a major concern.

Walt was planning to publish (via conference call) the tests that will

be run. This will close after the walk through of the ISDN scripts.

Issue #:048

DATE OPENED: 04/08/97

DESCRIPTION: Walt to talk with Jeff (972-519-3758) regarding whether

there is an issue with TTNs.

RESPONSIBILITY: Walt Subora

DATE DUE: 05/15/97

DATE CLOSED: 06/12/97

STATUS: CLOSED

04/08/97 New Issue.

Is there an issue with TTNs? This is still open because Jeff and Walt

did not connect. It is possible that this will be discussed later today.

The real question is what activity is going on in T1S1 (per Jim

Joerger). Item remains open

06/12/97 - The resolution does not impact the Chicago MSA test, although

it may result in subsequent test script changes later. Walt will attempt

to connect with Jeff again. Nevertheless, this issue will be CLOSED.

ISSUE #:006

DATE OPENED: 08/26/96

DESCRIPTION: Need the NPAC committee to determine the test schedule and

provide for inclusion in our test plan.

RESPONSIBILITY: Steve Markowski, Lockheed

DATE DUE: 01/06/97

DATE CLOSED: 02/13/97

STATUS: Closed

08/26/96 - New Item

09/17/96 - Walt has done this. A meeting is scheduled on Oct.02, 1996

with NPAC about testing. The schedule, assumptions and terms are

attached to the Sep 17, 1996 notes. (Attachment 2 of that output)

11/21/96 - NPAC overall schedule was presented by Walt Subora from NPAC

committee output. Still need to determine affect on our test interval.

See notes from Nov. 21 meeting.

12/11/96 - Lockheed provided an overview of a schedule, with three

locations, that brought only certified carriers and live data into the

NPAC after May 05, 1997. This would indeed allow for a start in June as

test data would not be flowing into live LSMSs and SCPs. See notes from

Dec. 11 meeting.

01/09/97 - Steve and Donna Navickas provided new dates which still

provide for the start of inter-company testing on 06/15/97. Will keep

open until final schedule is put together.

02/13/97 - Closed. Will manage now as part of the overall test schedule.

STATUS: CLOSED

09/17/96 - New Issue

01/07/97 - We will select a set as part of the test plan and submit to

02/13/97 - Bettie Shelby, Steve Markowski and Dick Dowd will work this

issue. They will draft their thoughts on this and present at this

NPAC is currently not part of that.

04/08/97 - NIIF will take the complete test plan and change name in

entirety. Will also take a sub set for interconnection test for inter SP

testing. Another meeting 4/24-25 about the test plan.

04/09/97 - Jim Joerger comments: SP to SP testing for a new entrant is

covered in Section 3 of the test plan as part of the prerequisite

activities. SP to SP interconnection testing is covered in the Appendix

as a reference and is also included as part of the NIIF test procedures

for interconnection for LNP. New entrant LNP SPs would also have to show

NPAC certification as part of the prerequisites to participate in

testing. The test plan will be turned over to the NIIF after 09/26/97

test completion. Item Closed.

DATE OPENED: 10/18/96

DESCRIPTION: Need test scripts for Section 4.8 Operator & Coin.

RESPONSIBILITY: OC Jackson, AT&T and Carmen Colella, AIT

DATE DUE: 12/11/96

DATE CLOSED: 01/09/97

STATUS: CLOSED

10/18/96 - New Item

11/21/96 - Mitch Bilder, AT&T has a section for Operator and Coin test

cases. Needs to be reviewed. Has much to do with IXC Operator Calls.

Will be delivered to AIT by Ralph Brown, AT&T. Walt will include it on

www.ported.com.

11/21/96 - Carmen Colella, AIT gave a presentation on Operator test

cases needed for local Operators. He will flesh out required cases and

work with Ed Hendrix, BellSouth and Mitch Bilder, AT&T to update this

section.

12/06/96 - Carmen is assembling a matrix of orig. number, called number,

billing number for review at meeting. Bill offers to add it to the

matrix section of the test plan.

12/11/96 - Handout from Carmen Colella, AIT. Asking for tests from

every network that will use the Ameritech LIDB. Since a collect or

third-party-billed call can come from anywhere, the LIDB queries will go

to and from all possible networks. This leads to national compatibility

issues.

Carmen suggested a separate committee for testing of operator services.

There was a requirements OS subgroup. They would be a logical place to

start to constitute such a committee. Barry will check with operations

team to get some names. Could include SMEs from other than the direct

participants on this committee.

01/09/97 - The submission by AT&T is accepted as the Operator Services

section 4.8. Carmen is working on total list of tests for the addendum.

Carmen will hold a meeting with appropriate SMEs from other companies to

determine over all Operator Services test schedule, especially,

validation queries. New item for this. CLOSED.
