Manual vs. EDI Intervals
Brian VanHoof provided information regarding Ameritech Interval changes. Brian stated that a letter would be forthcoming (February) outlining the specific details. Brian will provide a copy to this group when the letter becomes available. Some of the discussion points included concerns that changes would not comply with the industry agreed flows. It was mentioned that when the flows were designed the assumptions were that companies would be moving from a manual environment to an electronic environment and the transition was not moving quickly enough. Several questions were presented. One of them asking if there was a stated time frame to move from manual to electronic interfaces. No one could remember any specific time frames outlined previously and participants should review previous documentation to verify. Another question: Was this topic discussed previously in the last few Midwest Region Operations meetings? No, it wasn’t. The topic was scheduled for the December conference call and was postponed at the last minute, due to unexpected, last minute conflict of SME.
LNP Contacts
The National LNP Operations team has provided a LNP Contact list. The list was provided to this group for review, changes and comments. There was discussion on where the contact list should be available and maintained. It was noted that contact information is provided at the time of interconnection agreements with specific companies. LNP contact information could be listed on NPAC.com, Ported.com or at the NIIF in the Contact Directory. Further discussions will take place at the National LNP Operations meeting. If anyone identifies changes in the LNP Contact sheet, changes can be sent to either Gene Perez directly or via Robin Meier.
New Entrant NIIF Issue 130
This issue remains in active status and is progressing. Changes made in the January meeting will be provided when they are available.
New Issue NIIF 134 LNP Multi-Service Provider Trouble Reporting
This issue remains in active status and more information is needed to effectively work it. Additional information is needed to understand the types of LNP trouble cases reported and suggested solutions. If your company is aware of common LNP trouble cases and possible solutions for resolution please contact your company NIIF representative or Robin Meier.
Rules of Engagement Issue/ CLEC LNP Procedures
Discussion identified that the MCI contribution contains a lot of the information needed for a guidelines document. The MCI straw document was selected for on-going work in the rules of engagement issue. It was decided that a sub group of interested parties would work on revising this document in a series of conference calls. The first one is scheduled for 2-10-99. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate. A working copy was sent out earlier today (2-1-99.)

Darin gave an impromptu update of the Wireline/Wireless progress made by the LNPA Working group. Darin sent a draft copy of the work to date. This is not a final and is still in the process of review and on-going changes. The copy was sent earlier today (2-1). Contact your company LNPA Working Group member with any comments/questions.

Contact Robin Meier prior to the next meeting (2-24) with any new issues or concerns to be added to the agenda.
