Ameritech

On Thursday, July 31 at 11:05pm Ameritech activated the Global Title Translation for validation queries for two Stewart NPANXXs, 773-994 and 773-224.

What this means is that for all validation queries (calling card, collect and bill to third) to these two exchanges, the queries will flow through the LNP/SCP before validating at the Ameritech LIDB. All tests were made and the queries validated properly.

Now we will begin to measure validation response times from various networks and switches from throughout the country. We will be monitoring to ensure that all responses meet the current 2 second time out criteria.

If any members/companies wish to make these types of test from their networks, please contact me and I will provide specific billing numbers within these exchanges for you to send test queries.

I have a list of some people of which I will be contacting.

As soon as possible, I hope to test validation queries that enter the Ameritech network and then are routed to another LIDB for validation. This is critical to ensure the query can travel through all the involved networks.
